In November 2022, the Rubber Additives Professional Committee of the China Rubber Industry Association (CRIA) held its 2022 Annual Meeting and the 22nd National Rubber Industry New Materials Technology Forum in Suzhou. 2022 marked the 70th anniversary of China's rubber additives industry.
At the conference, Wang Yandong, Secretary-General of the CRIA's Rubber Additives Professional Committee, delivered a report on the 70-year development history of China's rubber additives industry and the economic operation of the industry from January to September 2022. He also assisted Fineking in explaining information about its independently developed vulcanization release agent product—the permanent capsule release agent.
China's rubber additives industry was born in 1952. Shenyang Xinsheng Chemical Plant and Nanjing Chemical Plant respectively built production facilities for rubber accelerators and rubber antioxidants, with a combined output of 38 tons that year, thus beginning the development of China's rubber additives industry. Seventy years later, in the first nine months of 2022, China's total output of rubber additives exceeded 1.02 million tons, accounting for 74% of the global market. Looking at the operating data of the rubber additives industry from January to September 2022, many key operating indicators of the rubber additives industry achieved growth, indicating a good momentum of industry development.
- Total output value: RMB 23.301 billion, a year-on-year increase of 22.51%.
- Sales revenue: RMB 21.982 billion, a year-on-year increase of 18.71%.
- Export value: RMB 7.854 billion, a year-on-year increase of 38.34%.
- Total output: 1,028,100 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 2.36%. Among them: Accelerator output: 298,400 tons, a year-on-year increase of 5.62%; Antioxidant output: 252,200 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 6.9%.
- Export volume: 283,800 tons, a year-on-year increase of 8.33%.
