Product Description
Detailed Specifications And Features
Wide-Range Bimodal Protective Wax
This specialized rubber protective wax forms a stable protective film on rubber surfaces with broad carbon number distribution, effectively preventing ozone attack and degradation.
Product Overview
SR-WRDD is a technologically advanced rubber ozonoprotector and antioxidant wax compound mixture, formulated from selected paraffin wax, microcrystalline wax, and modifiers. During rubber mixing and curing, the product dissolves completely and forms a supersaturated paraffin wax system within rubber products.
Through continuous migration of paraffin hydrocarbon molecules to the rubber surface, a dynamic balance is maintained between surface and internal concentrations. This process establishes a complete, long-term stable protective film that prevents oxygen and ozone attack while protecting rubber from destruction. The protective film demonstrates excellent stability against dynamic stress and helps mitigate light-induced damage to rubber.
Technical Formulation
SR-WRDD is engineered through precise control of n-alkanes and isoparaffin composition ratios, along with optimized carbon number distribution. This formulation results in appropriate melting point range, stable movement viscosity, targeted protection in specific environmental temperature ranges, excellent migration performance across wide environmental conditions, and superior protection efficiency.
Application Fields
Suitable for tires, conveyor belts, and various rubber products designed for high-temperature applications. Can be used in combination with chemical antioxidants to extend protection scope and enhance protective effects.
Application Guidelines
  • Granular form suitable for automatic and manual measurement
  • For optimal dispersion, add during initial mixing phase
  • Recommended for internal mixer applications
  • For open mill applications, maintain mixing temperature 10°C above melting point
  • Recommended dosage: 1-4phr for tires; 2-6phr for conveyor belts
  • For other rubber products, determine dosage through testing
  • Maximum recommended dosage: 10phr
